Vlasic Pickles: Sweet Mixed Pickles (Review)

Vlasic makes great whole pickles, I've tried the dill pickle kind and it was not bad...actually a good snack.
I usually buy Bick's sweet and butter pickles, but I wanted to try Vlasic's take on sweet pickles. I don't know what they did when they made their "Sweet Mixed Pickles"!
It was inedible, I could not stand this unusual mix of flavours. First off, it wasn't even sweet. The pickle juice smelt strange. Overall the taste was like licking a hobo's sweaty hairy upperpit.

My rating for Vlasic Sweet Mixed Pickles is............1/10.
Sorry, stick to making mini whole pickles!!

Swanson dinners: Hungry Man (Review)

Price: $1.99 - $4.50
Suppliers: Walmart, No Frills, most supermarkets, and large grocery stores.

I bought some Hungry Man microwavable dinners. In my Turkey one, there was two slots of green beans, no mashed potatoes, and listen to this....NO TURKEY PIECE!?
How could they screw this up? I was pretty mad...even though I bought these on sale for $1.99, it wasn't worth it. I mean two handfuls of green beans, a mess of brownie, and some gravy? Hardly 1lb of food.

I know it was probably the machinery's fault, but there should've been someone checking them before they are packaged. It's easy to spot dinners without a turkey piece and mashed potatoes.

I really regret buying these Swanson dinners. It's just a sloppy mess of salt and fat. I'm serious, in one box there is over 2000mg of sodium!! A heart attack meal, way to clog my arteries.

I will never buy these again.

Candy: Kinder Chocolate Mini Bars

Price: $4
Suppliers: Walmart

Kinder Surprise has been longtime a child-hood favourite. There is finally a Kinder bar, I LOVE THESE! White chocolate with a milk chocolate layer. These bars are made into bite-sized pieces for sharing. Perfect for a snack. Each bar is 90 calories, WOW! Talk about thin-sensations!

The wrapper is nice and simply, it's better than the foil they've always used for the Kinder eggs.

I give these a 10/10! Totally addicting! 100% Recommended.

Pets: Greenies Pill Pockets

Price: $5.99 - $8.99 (30pcs)
Suppliers: Walmart, NoFrills, Pet Valu, more.

This is an amazing product!!

Greenies has designed a brilliant way to disguise pills for pets. Dogs and cats almost always hate eating their supplementary pills. This product works by inserting the pill into this unique socket, then closing the seal. You feed it to your pet as a treat, and they won't even notice. You can choose between the provided flavours for your pet's preference. Pill pockets has definitely made my week easier.

My rating 9/10! My pet loves it and doesn't notice the pill at all. This is a MUST-TRY product, absolutely wonderful with small pills.

Household: Pledge Multi Surface

Price: $3.99 - $6.99
Suppliers: Walmart, Zellars, SDM, more.
This multi surface spray and wipe cleaner is useful on many surfaces. I find it works great and doesn't leave any streaks. Sometimes I felt like there was a "sticky" after feeling. I've only tested it on wood, glass, and kitchen tiles, but it says it's good for electronics aswell. I won't risk spraying my keyboard with this though, because I find it sprays more liquid than I'm used to. Also, you don't have control over the size of the spray. It's mostly for dusty surfaces and easy to remove substances, not tough messes. I found the button a little tough to push, but it's general fine to work with. It smelt really good, like really strong flowers, so that's a plus.
This product would be 8/10.
I rarely use it. It's not essential to have, but it's a nice way to really freshen up the house while you clean.

Games: Nintendo DS: Nintendogs

Price: $29.83 - $35.00
Suppliers: Walmart, Zellers, Toys R Us, Best Buy, EB Games, more.

Nintendogs is a virtual pet game that will melt your heart out. A 3-D experience with the most adorable puppies you've ever seen. This is one of my personal favourite games, I love my Nintendogs.

The graphics and sound are amazing. The interactions and responses you receive from your puppy are all unique and realistic. Voice recognition works great, your dog will recognize it's name and your commands efficiently. It is easy to play through the game, baring little instructions. Very simple and easy simple controls, you are able to locate everything well. You basically control what you want to do with your dog and when.

Nintendogs teaches responsibility, patience, and compassion. You start with a budget, and you'll notice pets cost money. To earn money you can compete in the Disc, Agility, and Obedience competitions, but of course, you will have to train you dog inorder to be awarded with 1st prize. As you develop these skills, you'll grow to love your pup more.

You can unlock new breeds at the kennel, and new items, by collecting trainer points. There isn't much else you can do, so you can get bored of doing the same things over again. Imagine it as a real dog, you must do routine tasks to take care of it. The game runs on real time, so your dog sleeps when you're sleeping.

If you do get bored, you can buy new friends for your dog to play with. Each dog breed has a unique bark and personality, dogs love to play with eachother. But if you really don't have the time for it anymore, your dog will be waiting for you to come back excitedly. Once you return, it'd be dirty, hungry, and thirsty, but you can easily take care of it and everything would be back to normal. So, your dog won't neglect you, nor forget what it had learned.

My dogs: Lucky (Yorkie), Jackie (Beagle), Max (Sheltie)
(VIDEO LINK PROGRESSING)
Penny (Chihuahua), Buddy (Jack Russel Terrier), Jaimy (Spaniel)

This is an extremely realistic game, and a great starter to pet ownership. I am certainly attached to my wonderful dogs. I only wish the dogs could grow and mate, aha.

My rating for the overall product is 9/10. One of my top DS games, for sure :)

Candy: Toffifee

Click here for the Back of Toffifee box.

Price: $2.58
Suppliers: Walmart (confirmed)

For Mother's Day, I managed to find a box of Toffifee at Wal-Mart. They usually only appear during the Christmas holidays, so I had to get them. It costed around $2.50 comparably cheap, for a box of 15 pieces.

Each one-inch sized piece, contains a whole hazelnut inside of a Caramel cup, filled with nougat cream, and finally topped with a circle of chocolate. A combination of crunchy and chewy, with meltaway chocolate, and caramel sweetness.

This unique semi-sphered chocolate would make a great present for any occasion. It's just mmmm mmhm mm...simply delicious~ :)
A definite rating of 9.5/10 for Toffifee, amazingly addictive. Very sweet and chewy.
I hope they will come up with new flavours, such as peanut or even almond. . . mhmmm!

Hygiene: Herbal Essences hydralicious

Price: $2.89 - $3.99
Suppliers: Walmart, Zellers, Shoppers Drug Mart, more.

I've been using Herbal Essences for many, many, many, years. I've always love the scents, afforable rates, and haven't switched since. Now, Herbal Essences releases it's new series, hydralicious. The first thing you'd notice about it, is that there is a blend of colour and cream, the swirls effect. The conditioner bottle has a beautiful pearly shine to it. These bottles look much more appealing to the old series. There are three new types: Self-targeting, Featherweight, Reconditioning.

(i)Self-targeting, for balance from root to tip (PINK)

It smells like red vanilla and whipped aloe, as it claims, but I also feel a fruity flavour in it. My hair felt a bit softer. The conditioner was good, my hair felt more shinier than it was before.

(ii)Featherweight, for hair that needs body (ORANGE)

This is most refreshing. . . water lily nectar and passion fruit. After my first use (shampoo and conditioner), I did feel more volume and body. After I blow dried my hair, it become puffier.

(iii)Reconditioning, for dry/damaged hair (PURPLE)

The scents of shea and hawaiian sea silk, it had a similar smell to Herbal Essences' coconut shampoo (blue bottle), and I'm personally not a fan of coconut. I didn't expect salon quality products, but this did moisten my hair.

Also, each bottle has a random fun fact question, the answer coresponds with its conditioner. I didn't even notice this until now, I guess it's something fun you can learn while you're taking a shower.

My overall rating for this is 7.5/10.

I didn't feel much significant changes within the results (after a couple of uses), but I enjoyed the new scents. I will still use these products for the long term, and see if any noticeable improvements come my way.

Food: kickbutt ampted energy ballz

Price: $2.50 - $2.99
Suppliers: Zellers, Shoppers Drug Mart, 7-Eleven, etc.

This product was terrible. In the trial pack it contained two disgusting flavours. Each ball contains 40mg dose of caffeine and 38 calories per ball. Each ball is 10g each. I was so disgusted to take a bite I cutted it half and found a layer of nastiness. The core was brownish black. And then it builded on to white, then red or brown (depending on flavour). There was two flavours in my trial.

  1. Cappuccino kick: It was terrible. When I bit into it the coated ball. It tasted like some kind of medicine. Also when I got these. The letter said that most people claimed them to taste like tootsie rolls. They had no familiar taste. . . It was to bland. The cappucino kick was very much cappunccino ick.

    1. Cherry: Ah a fruit flavoured snack. Sounds delicious right? False. These were the same amount of deliciousness from the Cappuccino kick, they were awful! The cherry was obviously immitted, it tasted yet rather like chalk. The texture on the outside was shiny but the inside like a cement block.

Overall I'd say I was despited the product already was expensive you can get five balls exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart at a price of 49.99. The quality of the product was fine. The design was nice, into tricking us.

My rating for the overall product is 3/10.

Household: Wizcloth Plus Chiffon All Purpose Cloth

Price: $1.00
Suppliers: Dollarama
Jumbo Size: 50cm x 50cm (20" by 20")

My local Dollarama had this product, and I immediately knew it was a imitation of the famous “ShamWow” towels. The material was felt-like. It wasn't as absorbent as claimed, but still quite hefty. I tested on 1 cup (250ml) of tap water, it did absorb 70% of the liquid but it was still dripping. I can't tell whether it lasts long, because I just got it. It's durability seems tough, pretty strong and unrippable so far. I've cleaned coffee and this washes out quickly, by handwashing...it is stain resistant. This is definitely NOT odourless, it smells undesirablely awkward and repelling. But the smell is not as bad after I washed it. It didn't leave streaks as it claims. Compared to a paper towel, it absorbs more and is tougher.
Not many people know before you use it, you have to rinse it with warm water, then wring it out. This is VERY important! It absorbs much better this way.
I think this was pretty worth it for $1, I would recommended it.
My rating for the overall product is 8/10.
Now, I know what you're thinking, if this products seems decent and alright, why not buy the real ShamWow? WRONG! The ShamWow is overpriced and not worth it the money, this WizCloth is pretty much the same cloth. Informercials are quite misleading and inaccurate, if you don't like the Dollarama cloth I doubt you'll like the ShamWow.

Candy: Chiclets Assorted Fruit

Price: $0.65 - $1.24
Suppliers: Dollarama, Zellers, Walmart, more.

The good people at Cadbury are always brewing delicious snacks and candies. Today I was at my Dollarama and I had a fever for candy. So I picked up a few things, one of them was Chiclets. I've tried this in the past but never considered reviewing it. Traditionally speaking I remember when I was a kid while ago every halloween I would get the “regulars”. The regulars were the best, chocolate bars. Rockets, Tootsie Rolls, lollipops and especially Chiclets.

(i) Cherry: The cherry one was okay. It didn't taste as tangy as you would expect from a cherry lollipop it had a minor hint of cherry. The flavour was fine. But also I'd say this was my least favourite.

(ii) Orange: This is one of my favourites. The orange to me was normal flavoured you would expect from hard candies, but the only thing I didn't like was that the flavour had vanquished soon. I ended up spitting it out.

(iii) Citrus: My favourite it had a minor sourness from the lemon and lime and the sweet from a grape fruit, very delicious but the packet only contained one piece, so kinda mad. The flavour was really a mild tanginess.

(iv) Strawberry: Not my most favourite. The flavour tasted fake. It didn't taste real. I didn't like it because it was too bland. It had no tanginess to it. I prefer sour. But I'd say if anyone likes strawberry candy, you should try this one.

My overall rating for this would probably be a 7/10.
Because I myself are not a BIG fan of most of the flavours.
I got these at a Dollarama, saying is a pretty good deal for twelve pieces.
